International Missions
Jesus commanded His disciples to tell the world about Him starting in Jerusalem, then moving out to Judea, to Samaria, and finally to the whole world. As believers in Christ, we have the privilege of sharing our faith with the world in a variety of ways.
Living Water International
This mission trip shares the good news of Jesus by drilling water wells and teaching health and hygiene to villages in Nicaragua. A team from St. Timothy served in Telica from June 6-14, 2008 by completing a water well and holding hygiene classes for children in the local school and for the village women during the afternoon hours. The gospel was shared with 250+ people! Please contact Gloria Ruppel in the church office for more information on the next scheduled trip to Nicaragua. Learn More »
Heart for Honduras
Twice a year in spring and fall a team goes to Honduras to provide medical, dental, and optical services and to drill water wells. Salem Lutheran Church in Tomball, TX has invited St. Timothy to join with them in the Heart for Honduras effort. While medical and dental professionals are essential to this trip, non-medical people can also serve in a variety of ways. The next trip in 2008 is October 25 - November 1. Click here for more information.
Mobility Project
Distributing mobility devices such as wheelchairs, crutches, walkers, and canes is part of Mobility Project and Push International. St. Timothy collects used walking devices to be refurbished and sent to Central America. We encourage our people to participate in a summer mission trip by joining with a team from Resurrection Lutheran Church in Spring, TX as they minister to the poorest area of Mazatlan, Mexico.
The Kenya Project
Twice a year teams go to Kenya to provide vision clinics to regions in and around Nairobi. You will be trained to administer simple vision tests and to assemble eyeglasses. The dates of the next 2008 trip is November 6-16. Read more about it or Contact Gloria Ruppel for more information.
